Games We’re Excited About: July 2016
While July is not jam-packed with major game releases, there is still plenty to be excited about this month, including new games from Insomniac (Ratchet & Clank) and Playdead (Limbo). Without further ado:
Lost Sea (PS4, PC)–July 5
An exploration game set in the Bermuda Traingle, Lost Sea will have players making their way through a procedurally generated chain of islands in search of a way back home.
Carmageddon: Max Damage (Xbox One, PS4)–July 8
One of the bloodiest racing games ever makes its return this month, and it brings all of the ’90s ridiculousness that it was known for to the present incarnation. Players will race through levels in their death machines while destroying pedestrians, livestock and each other.
Inside (Xbox One, PC)–July 7
A puzzle platformer from the creators of Limbo, Inside puts players in control of a small boy evading the pursuit of evil scientists and navigating through a world where every misstep leads to death.
Song of the Deep (Xbox One, PS4, PC)–July 12
Developed by Insomniac and published by GameStop, Song of the Deep is a Metroidvania-style game in which a young girl is searching for her father, a fisherman who has disappeared into the ocean depths.
Of course, this list is just our personal picks, so please sound off in the comments and let us know what games you’re excited to see in July!
