Nintendo NX to Release in March of 2017–Won’t Be at E3 This Year?

In a press briefing regarding their 2016 earnings report, Nintendo announced today that their upcoming NX console will be releasing in March of 2017 worldwide. According to the Wall Street Journal, Nintendo also said the NX will not be at E3 this year, as the focus will be on the new Legend of Zelda, which has been delayed again into 2017. Bandai Namco Absolutely Nails the Marketing Campaign for Dark Souls III

As if we needed another reason to love the Souls series, the marketing campaign for Dark Souls III has been nothing short of stellar. In addition to the standard cryptic clips of in game intros and obscure lore and people dying a million times, Bandai Namco has added a full-on ’80s horror movie homage. First, they let horror director Eli Roth (Cabin Fever, Hostel) direct an animated short called “The Witches” that captured the inevitability of the game’s soul-crushing nature.READ MORE

Left 4 Dead 2 Now Backward Compatible on Xbox One–All Other Multiplayer Games Can Go Home

Today on Twitter Xbox’s Major Nelson announced that the greatest cooperative multiplayer game of all time had been added to Xbox One’s backward compatibility list. Shortly afterward, the President of All Games announced there would be no more cooperative multiplayer games developed for this or any future generations. All of those resources will now be poured into amassing an army to force Valve into making Half-Life 3. Which is ironic, because they gave us the Left 4 Dead franchise.
